crR- OF SAN BERNARDQO - REQUaT FOR COUNCIL ~ON
STAFF REPORT
San Bernardino County (we administer their crossing guard program) has requested
that a crossing guard be placed at Sixth St. and Sterling Ave. Since this inter-
section is half City and half County they propose a 50/50 split of the guards
salary. We currently have two other 50/50 positions and four 75/25 positions.
This proposal was considered by the Mayors Traffic Safety Committee and the need
for said guard was affirmed. Their recommendation is that the City place a guard
at this location on a 50/50 salary basis.
The Police Department concurs in this recommendation.
