Synopsis of Previous Council action:
10/83 - Council granted extension for S & S Meat Products Co. so they
could look for a new location. Mayor was to meet with Attorney
Ken Skouson, representing Mr. Sherratt, to discuss use of RDA
resources.
Recommended motion:
That immediate action be taken to rid the area of the noxious odors
continuously emitted from the S & S Meat Products Company, located
at 1389 West Mill Street, San Bernardino, CA.

SUBJECT: Noxious Odors From Smelly Meat Plant
During the past month we had several days of 85+
degrees temperature. This caused an old problem
to surface again, namely. the S & S Meat Products
Company located at 1389 West Mill Street.
This has come before the council several times in
the past. In October 1983 the owner, James Sheratt,
was to decide on a new location and Mayor w. R. Holcomb
was to discuss the possibility of using Redevelopment
Agency Resources to consumate a land deal with
Mr. Sheratt, To our knowledge nothing has been accomp-
lished.
Now that summer is approaching the problem will grow
worse. I respectfully request your attention to this
matter.
