STAFF REPORT
At the February 4 Council meeting, the City Attorney was directed to
prepare a resolution approving the revised standards for vacant
buildings in the Parking District for buildings which have been vacant
in excess of 180 days.
The City Attorney submitted a proposed ordinance at the February IB
Council meeting amending Section 19.56.210 of the San Bernardino
Municipal Code. The proposed ordinance received first reading and
was laid over for final adoption. The proposed ordinance provides
that criteria will be promulgated by resolution of the Mayor and

A proposed resolution is now submitted which adopts criteria for
exterior renovation of buildings vacant in excess of 180 days, in
exchange for reduced parking requirements in the downtown parking
district as recommended by the Legislative Review Committee.
The proposed resolution is made effective April 8, 1985, the first
Monday after the ordinance becomes effective.
