STAFF REPORT
It is necessary that the inspectors have offices at the site of
construction of Tippecanoe bridge or as close as possible to the
construction site.
The contractor for the bridge will not have a "field office" at the
site which usually means that the inspectors would also have a
trailer or field office on location. There is not enough room
presently, with necessary furniture, in the Engineering Department
for two temporary inspectors. Because of thi s fact, there was a
survey of the area for a temporary office near the construction
site, and the offices were available on East Mill Street near the
site with what we believe is a fair monthly rent. The security and
maintenance of the office is good and we recommend that this resolu-
tion be passed in order that the inspectors have an office.
