1. AREA HEALTH EDUCATION CENTER - The Committee received a
thorough briefing regarding services to be provided; the need for
a 3500 foot addition to Casa Ramona where limited service is now
being provided; and need for approximately $260,000 for a project
that would serve 35,000 residents of San Bernardino and surround-
ing areas (mostly West-side San Bernardino). The Committee recom-
mended that the Council go on record supporting this most worth-
while project. They also recommended that Casa Ramona apply for
Block Grant Funds through various governmental agencies and that
the City Administrator cooperate fully with this effort.
2. RDA CONTRACT COMPLIANCE PROGRAM/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION POLICY

next meeting with tasking to RDA for total policy clarification,
with supporting legal justification, so that full Council can
clearly understand what they are endorsing.
