Aaenda Item No. ~ o o o o 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION AS TO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND ADOPTING 3 AMENDMENT NO. 84-4 TO THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO (GENERAL PLAN LAND USE ELEMENT). 4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 5 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 6 SECTION 1. Recitals. 7 (a) The General plan Land Use Element for the City of San 8 Bernardino was adopted by the Mayor and Common Council by 9 Resolution No. 7336 on August 17, 1964. 10 (b) Amendment No. 84-4 to the General Plan of the City of 11 San Bernardino was approved by the Planning Commission of the City 12 of San Bernardino on January 8, 1985, after a legally advertised 13 public hearing. 14 (c) A negative declaration issued by the Environmental 15 Review Committee of the City, complete with an initial study 16 relating to Amendment No. 84-4, and all comments relative thereto 17 have been reviewed and approved by the Planning Commission and the 18 Mayor and Commoll Council in compliance with the California 19 Environmental Quality Act and local regulations. 20 (d) The Mayor and Common Council reviewed and considered 21 proposed Amendment No. 84-4 on January 21, 1985 and February 4, 22 1985, and held a public hearing thereon. 23 (e) The adoption of Amendment No. 84-4 is deemed in the 24 interest of the orderly development of the City and is consistent 25 with the goals and objectives of the existing General Plan. 26 SECTION 2. Negative Declaration. The Mayor and Common 27 Council hereby find and declare that the proposed amendment to the 28 General Plan of the City of San Bernardino will have no 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 o o o significant effect on the environment, and the negative declaration heretofore adopted by the Environmental Review Committee as to the effect of this proposed amendment is hereby ratified, affirmed and adopted. SECTION 3. Amendment. The Land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of San Bernardino is amended by changing the approximately 29.4 acres located northerly of Fairway Drive, easterly of the extension of Orange Show Road, southerly of Century Avenue and westerly of Camino Real, as outlined on the map entitled Exhibit IV, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, from open space and conservation uses to general commercial uses. This amendment is designated as General Plan Amendment No. 84-4. SECTION 4. Map Notation. This resolution and the amendment effected by it shall be noted on such appropriate maps as have been adopted and approved by the Mayor and Common Council.
