Racommended motion:
That the plans for construction of sewer mains in the Valley Truck
Farm Area on South Waterman Avenue, in accordance with Plan No. 6608,
be approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer authorized
to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
The plans for this project have been prepared by the Engineering Division, and
the project is ready to be advertised for bids.
Listed below is an eetimate of the total project cost:

TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 611,000
An amount of $400,000 was provided in the 1984-1985 Comunity Development
Block Grant program for this project. Supplemental funds have been advanced
from the Sewer Line Construction Fund to cover the total estimated project,
with the understanding that they will be reimbursed from the 1985-1986 CDBG
program. In addition, approximately $109,000 in Jobs Bill funds will be made
available for this project.
The plans have been prepared to direct the inetallation of a sewer lateral to
the property line of each parcel with an inhabitable dwelling unit(s). This
is in accordance with our understanding of the intent of the Council actions.
There are approximately 200 parcels within this area. Sewer plant capacity
fees have been paid for about 64 parcels.
We recommend the plans be approved and staff be authorized to go out for bid.
