11-8-84 -- Transfer of $42,400.00 from available balance for
the improvement of Victoria Avenue, Account No.
42-510-495, to the widening of Sierra Way, from
5th Street to 7th Street (by Change Order No. One'
to the contract with Moulder Bros. for Seccombe
Lake), continued to 1/7/85.
Recommended motion:
That the transfer of $42,400.00 from Account No. 42--510-495,
"Improvement of Victoria Avenue", to the widening of Sierra
Way, from 5th Street to 7th Street, in accordance with Plan
No. 6403, be approved.

STAFF REPORT
The transfer of $42,400.00 from Victoria Avenue to the
widening of Sierra Way was continued until the contractor was
completed and the approximate final cost could be determined.
All work included in the contract for Victoria Avenue was
satisfactorily completed as of 12/17/84.
In addition to the work done by the contractor, patterned
concrete is to be installed by the Department of Public
Ser.vices and up to 7 street lights installed by the Public
Buildings Division. A purchase order requisition has been
submi tted for the ma teri a 1 s for the pa tterned concrete, and a'
work order requisition submitted for installation of the
street lights.
All costs have not been finalized, but the following estimate
is considered very near the actual City's share of the total
co st.
Construction Contract $137.457.50
Patterned Concrete Materials 18,500.00
Installation of Street Lights 7.000.00
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1530) 12,842.50
TOTAL ESTIMATED CITY'S SHARE $175.800.00
An amount of $228,267.00 has been allocated in the Street
Construction Fund, under Account No. 42-510-495, to finance
the City's share of the improvement of Victoria Avenue.
Therefore, the available balance is estimated to be
$52,467.00.
The widening of Sierra Way was added to
Moulder Brothers, for the improvement
Recreation Area, by Change Order No. One.
item of work was $42,400.00.
We recommend that $42,400.00 be transferred from the
available balance for Victoria Avenue to finance the cost of
widening Sierra Way.
