Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with PlaceWorks for the General Plan and Downtown Specific Plan (All Wards) Recommendation It is recommended that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Bernardino, California, authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with PlaceWorks for the General Plan and Downtown Specific Plan by increasing the total compensation from $3,597,985 to $4,395,308 (+$797,323); and authorize the Finance Director to amend the Fiscal Year 2021/22 Adopted Budget accordingly. Council Member Sanchez motioned to reject Staff's recommendation and only approve $500,000 from the Leap Grant to complete the housing component of the General Plan; he stated he was not on board with approving any funding from the General Fund.
