into the Official Record as requested by the Mayor
I will not be in attendance tonight at the M/CC for October 6, 2021 as I have a mayor's
conference to attend out of state, and, stand ready to advocate for our community and learn
of federal and legislative approaches to assist me in my capacity as Mayor. As such, I have
left the management of tonight's meeting in the care of our Mayor Pro Tem.
For clarity purposes, I remind the city council that I do not cast a vote on routine or
agendized matters unless exceptions apply afforded me by the City Charter, and/or, the City
Municipal Code.
Additionally, and, in accordance with the newly adopted guidelines of the FPPC--whether
present OR absent --at a municipal meeting, policy makers should declare/identify conflicts;
consequently, I hereby clearly state that I DO NOT have legal, personal or business
conflicts on tonight's agendized items 3-19 for open session (all items) or the item slated for
discussion/action during closed session.
