Dear Mayor and San Bernardino City Council:
My name is Maribel Nunez from Inland Equity Partnership and I have worked in San Bernardino since
2011.
I support the mayor and council adding ranked choice voting to the ballot in 2024 and listening to the
advice of the charter review committee. Ranked choice voting will help us improve and strengthen our
local democracy by replacing a lower voter turnout, less representative primary election with a single,
higher voter turnout general election which will better reflect the will of the people.
I also look forward to the possibility of seeing more issue-based positive campaigns and greater needs for
consensus building among our local elected officials.
Best,
Maribel Nunez
