A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
NARDINO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF RICHARDSON
AVENUE BETWEEN THE EAST LINE OF MT. VERNON AVENUE AND THE WEST LINE
OF "K" STREET; FAIRVIEW AVENUE BETWEEN THE SOUTH LINE OF RICHARDSON
AVENUE AND THE NORTH LINE OF GRANT AVENUE; JEFFERSON PLACE BETWEEN
THE EAST LINE OF FAIRVIEW AVENUE AND THE WEST LINE OF MISSION DRIVE;
MISSION DRIVE BETWEEN THE SOUTH LINE OF RICHARDSON AVENUE AND THE
NORTH LINE OF GRANT AVENUE; COLLEGE DRIVE BETWEEN THE EAST LINE OF
MT. VERNON AVENUE AND THE WEST LINE OF "K" STREET; SCOTT STREET
BETWEEN THE SOUTH LINE OF COLLEGE DRIVE AND THE NORTH LINE GRANT
AVENUE; EUREKA AVENUE BETWEEN THE NORTH LINE OF COLLEGE DRIVE AND
THE SOUTH LINE OF ESPERANZA STREET, IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of
San Bernardino hereby declares its intention to order the vacation
of those portions of various streets delineated on the map of College
Heights, Tract No. 2227, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 31 of
Maps, Pages 99 and 100, records of the County Recorder of San Bernar-
dino County, and in the City of San Bernardino, which said portion
more particularly is described as follows:
Those portions of various streets delineated on the map of
College Heights, Tract No. 2227, as per plat thereof re-
corded in Book 31 of Maps, pages 99 and 100, records of the
County Recorder, San Bernardino County, State of California,
described as follows:
Parcel No. 1.
Richardson Avenue: Between the East line of Mount Vernon
Avenue and the West line of "K" Street.
Parcel No. 2.
Fairview Avenue: Between the South line of Richardson
Avenue and the North line of Grant Street as described in
the deed recorded April 18, 1963, in Book 5892, page 420,
Official Records of said County.
Parcel No. 3.
Mission Drive: Between the South line of Richardson Avenue
and the North line of Grant Street as described in the deed
recorded April 18, 1963, in Book 5892, page 420, Official
Records of said County.
Parcel No. 4.
Jefferson Place: Between the East line of Fairview Avenue
and the Southwesterly line of Mission Drive.
Parcel No. 5.
Scott Street: Between the South line of College Drive and
the North line of Grant Street as described in the deed re-
corded April 18, 1963, in Book 5892, page 420, Official
Records of said County.
Parcel No. 6.
College Drive: Between the East line of Mount Vernon Avenue
and the West line of "K" Street.
Parcel No. 7.
Eureka Street: Between the North line of College Drive and
the South line of Esperanza Street.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino, in vacating the above described portion of said streets,
elects to proceed under and in accordance with the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941", being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 3. That the hour of 9:30 o'clock A.M., on the 27th day
of April, 1964, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, San Bernardino,
California, be, and the same hereby is fixed as the time and place when
and where all persons interested in or objecting to the -proposed
vacation may appear before the said Mayor and Common Council and offer
evidence in relation thereto„ For further particulars as to the pro-
posed vacation of the hereinbefore described portion of said streets,
reference is made to that certain map marked "Plan No. 3044 approved
March30, 1964, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
SECTION 4. Nothing in this Resolution shall in any way affect
or distrub any existing easements for public utility purposes belong-
. .,
ing either to the City of San Bernardino or to any public utility and
there is hereby reserved for future general public utility purposes
and for this City an Easement reasonably necessary to locate public
utility facilities over, in, under, or across a portion of the premises
mentioned herein before and to use, maintain, repair, replace or renew
such facilities.
SECTION 5. That the City Engineer of the City of San Bernardino
hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street Vacation to be posted
as required by the Street Vacation Act of 1941.
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution of Intention and shall cause the same to be pub-
lished twice in The San Bernardino Evening Telegram, a newspaper pub-
lished and circulated in the City of San Bernardino, the first of such
publications to be made not less than ten (10) days prior to the date
of the above public hearing.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall Certify to the adoption of this
resolution and thenceforth and hereafter the same shall be in full
force and effect.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed by theft
Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at
