To Whom This May Concern,
I am a resident of the 5th ward and I would like to voice my support for agenda item #23 Rank
Choice Voting. I would also like to thank Council Member Ibarra for bringing this item
forward for consideration. I believe Rank Choice Voting has the potential to truly expand our
democracy and bring about greater representation through expansion of choice. If your
concern is to give a greater voice to the people you represent then I greatly encourage you to
research, discuss, and consider Rank Choice Voting. The benefits of Rank Choice Voting has
already been seen in other states, we too can benefit from it and San Bernardino can be the
start of something great and transformational. Given the history of this city, we can show that
we are more than the negative perceptions others put on us, we can be the leaders of
representative innovation in southern California. Thank you for your time.
