Dear Council Members, As you must already know diesel emissions, which contain the fine particulate known as black carbon, have been linked to not only asthma, cancer, heart disease, stroke, neurological disorders but premature deaths too. Online shopping is continuing to be favored throughout the nation but we must not sell out our communities here in San Bernardino in favor of supporting over consumption. I urge you to put the warehouse moratorium on the agenda and to vote yes for it. The city needs to better understand the needs of our residents and the impacts of the warehouse industry has on our communities beyond the financial gains that a certain small segment of folks gain from it. Public officials need to invest more resources, time and attention on an analysis that includes city officials doing site visits to determine safety infrastructure, as well as a stakeholder analysis so that public forums can be more inclusive. Do the right thing put the moratorium on the agenda and vote yes, Kari Kalinich Inland Empire resident in support of an innovative, healthy, equitable City of San Bernardino
