Public Comment /CALL-TO- ACTION - ENA/CBA
Hello, my name is Sonya Gray-Hunn I represent Congregations Organized for Prophetic
Engagement, COPE and I am here today with Something Better for San Bernardino. We are a
coalition of organizations that hold common values, as community residents and as working
people, around the opportunity and the promise presented by the plans of Renaissance
Downtown USA and ICO Real Estate Group to redevelop the Carousel Mall and downtown
San Bernardino. We urge the San Bernardino City Council to vote YES on an ENA for the
Carousel Mall redevelopment. COPE Mission is to end-mass-Incarnation and to revitalize the
communities where we live, work, and worship. COPE seeks to promote community wellness.
We want accessible, affordable, and quality education, livable wages, health and
environmental systems that promote community wellness and economic growth.
By voting yes, you put the City on a path toward a Community Benefits Agreement that can
guarantee affordable housing, clean infrastructure, better-paying jobs, and community input at
this crucial development. Our City’s residents need these guarantees on paper, so vote YES to
help us start this process NOW.

Benefits Agreement.
