Hello council,
I am a resident of San Bernardino and I want the called public comments to be permanent. This option gives San
Bernardino residents a voice when we are at work. Not everyone has a 9-5 job that allows residents to attend all
the city council meetings. Not everyone is available to attend council meetings when they want. Allowing us the
residents to call in our public comments is a way some are able to be heard. Why are you trying to silence the
residents by ending the public comments via phone calls? Isn’t the council here for the residents? Then why would
you the council, the city clerk and the lack of mayor want to stop the called in public comments. You are elected
officials who should be working WITH the residents, NOT against the residents.
I urge you to keep all residents involved in public comments. DO NOT STOP CALLED IN PUBLIC COMMENTS.
Thank you,
Veronica (will not provide my last name, as I do not want ANY type of retaliation for my comment)
