Good evening Mayor and Council Members,
My Name is Alex Zamora, and I am very proud member of LiUNA, The Laborers
International Union of North America. I strongly oppose an Urgency Ordinance which could lead to a
Moratorium of any kind on Warehouse uses in the San Bernardino Area. During this very tough and
trying pandemic era, projects like these have been the life blood of our organization, giving our
existing members more opportunities to find work and provide for their families, as well as opening
new doors for future members. We pride ourselves in building responsibly, on time and under
budget everywhere we build. No project is perfect in everyone’s eyes, but I truly believe that with
responsible developers, responsible builders, and responsible city staff, projects like these are
usually a no brainer on all fronts. Again, I oppose an Urgency Ordinance for any ban on Warehouse
uses, and I hope we can continue to be a vital asset to the beautification of the San Bernardino area.
Thank you so much for the time and god bless.
Alex Zamora
