I am the Program Manager for Open Arms Youth Drop In Center and our TAY Housing as well. Both of which located here in San Bernardino. I am writing this comment on behalf of all the young people whom I serve everyday here in San Bernardino. Our community has seen the turmoil which has plagued our city government for far too long. If the intention of the mayor is too bring a culture of growth, peace, and empowerment. He most certainly has not brought this to fruition. Then with the increasing amount of allegations related to corruption, nepotism, and overall poor -faith dealings. We can certainly ascertain that our city leadership, especially one in authority over all else, should be held accountable for this severe lack of integrity. I am sure many of us are aware by now of the letter which has circulated. While not all of this letter may be credible, if even 10% of the wrong doings listed are valid, it is far too much. We are tired of negative press depicting our city as sub -par. We are tired of countless stories in circulation which paint San Bernardino as a den of corruption and poverty. We deserve more for our families, we deserve more for our youth. We certainly deserve more from our mayor. Who since the many debacles of last year has not properly managed our city or the personnel for which he is responsible. While he is not solely to blame, Just as I, and all other managers, are responsible for mistakes of our staff. SO to is the mayor responsible for conduct of his. Thank you for your time. Let's all love this city together. Attachment [ 5MB or less, Microsoft Word or Image file)
