I am emailing to ask for San Bernardino City Council members to please vote for a city wide
warehouse moratorium. This will hopefully inpspire neighboring cities to do the same.
Warehouses have proven to create lackluster jobs that still require folks working them to be on
public assistance to make ends meet. On top of that, these warehouses worsen the air quality
by bringing in more dirty fossil fuel semi trucks in our area, and these trucks also destroy our
street pavements with their heavy loads, leaving the tax payers with the bill to repair the
streets.
It is time our elected officials to put the best interests of the community first, so stop selling
our communities short! We are done with the lackluster warehouse jobs that only work to
exploit our people, economy, and natural resources.
Y'all really want to gentrify San Bernardino and poison us with these disgusting warehouses,
no rich hipster or influencer will ever be caught dead in San Bernardino because of the
horrible policy and decision making city council members have made in the past. If y'all really
think about it you will never make San Bernardino a great place for rich folks to flock to by
having tons of warehouses here. And on that note, to hell with gentrification and our currenty
overpriced and inflated house market. If you're not going to give the land back to the Native
Americans of the land, than at least make it a better place for those you get paid to represent in
these decisions! Stop exploiting us and help us achieve the "American Dream" of home
ownership and great paying union jobs with access to any and every kind of resource.
For those currently sitting in the council who are for the people and by the people, thank you
for all of the work you do for us. Together we will make San Bernardino a great place for all
of our current residents, both housed and unhoused.
