Wow I just took my daughter for Boba downtown the other day and I asked her if she wanted to go for a walk
instead of going home right away. Due to covid we’ve been locked up so it was nice getting fresh air. Any how we
took a walk downtown and I shared all my memories from the carousel mall, the Pawn shop, the movie theater, my
old job at Molly's Cafe, the bank and of course the I shared stories about the Route 66. Times were so different. I
spent a lot of time at the carousel, it was home for me. Times were so different. My daughter was so intrigued about
my stories and she ask to go sit in the front so she could get a feel of my stories. We drove the parking lot and took
tons of pictures. She mention how awesome it was and she could feel my emotions. I can go on and on but my point
is I would love for her to experience all the great times with her friends some day, not just for her but so many
others. So many activities were downtown that always lead to me hanging out at the mall. It was like reuniting with
my family because it was a safe home for me. I hope we can bring San Bernardino together again and we can do so
by keeping the mall and remodeling it to something even better for kids to go somewhere they can call a second
home. Praying for a great outcome for the community.
