He was evidently an excellent teacher who delighted in giving children a way to engage in and enjoy music. In the actual application for grant funding there were some date discrepancies that need to be clarified before the City can fund the project. In the period of support requested, he had put that the program would begin March 9, 2018. This is obviously a “typo.” He also stated that it would end June 23, 2016. In order to fund the program, the dates have to be between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. He had listed specific dates, such as March 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, and 31. We also need to know if the school site has been confirmed. I suggest that you write an amendment to the application, stating the exact dates that the program will begin and end, and that you give a statement about where the program will take place, perhaps with a letter of support from the Principal of the school. This amendment needs to be approved by the City Council at the May 16, 2016 Council meeting. If possible, please provide this information to us as soon as possible.
