Please verify receipt of my comment: Greetings! As the council considers approving The Greens Development project tonight, please make sure that abandoned trucks in the city limits are towed away. There is a full-size truck and trailer abandoned on Campus Parkway near Northpark that has been illegally parked for over a month. I've attached a picture of the truck. It is a safety hazard as it takes up a lane of traffic and cars have to divert around it. The 3 pylons placed in the rear of it blew away. I reported it online, to a city worker, called the police and called the safety manager for the trucking company and it still sits there. Also, the recent power shut offs by SCE are not "for our safety" as they claim. There is nothing safe about stumbling around in the dark and not being able to heat your home. I got sick after the shut off in October that lasted 36 hours. I filed a claim and it was rejected by SCE. The shut offs are unacceptable and are for SCE's safety as it relates to their liability for their power lines starting forest fires. I really like the area where I live near Cal State San Bernardino. However, SCE shutting off our power every time there is a strong wind needs to stop. SCE needs to supply reliable electricity to their customers or face litigation if they fail to do so. Perhaps a class action lawsuit is in order? Sincerely, Tressy Capps
