For example Santa Ana is brought up, but (you omit actual relevant data such as this) Santa Ana average household income is $52,519 a year as opposed to San Bernardino's Average Annual household income of $38,774 a year. A $1000 or similar limit will only empower those same groups that have controlled SB politics instead of actual residents. I spoke out against then council member Valdivia's near 100k campaign contributions (for a council race!!)from PD and Fire over a decade ago, which ended up putting San Bernardino in a much worst spot to the benefit of PD(the people our politicians respond to are making 2-3 times what we are , and living in other cities/counties). Allowing high contribution limits gives the voice of the people to people making a lot more than San Bernardino residents , people who do not have our best interests in mind. Those same politicians may be voting on this, but I implore our public servants to take your duty to us residents seriously , to speak truth to power and to include relevant data (presenting square miles comparisons instead of household income is borderline unethical) Limits should be based on what we can afford, not what people in better off areas can. Thank you, Ronald Donis
