Hello,
My name is Jennifer. I am a resident of the 6th ward of San Bernardino. 63% of our budget is
already allocated toward funding the police, yet what is there to show for it? Crime is still
rampant, and residents do not feel any safer with police presence in our neighborhoods. This
money should instead be used to fund community programs and assistance to actually have a
positive and visible impact in our community. I do not support the tax increase specifically
because it will give more funding to law enforcement and I will be actively seeking out a
change in the council seat if this is supported.
