Dear City Council & Mayor,
Over 30 households in the vicinity of Spring Trails Development are opposed to the annexation at this time for the
following reasons:
Fiscal Impact
1. The City is broke and doesn't have funding for services the County Transportation Dept. provides.
2. Owners of the 6 County parcels surrounding Development are opposed to annexation and may bring a
lawsuit against the City.
3. Numerous public safety conditions, High Winds, Fire, Faults, can not be mitigated by the City.
4, Code Enforcement & Police are understaffed.
Conclusion:
It is premature to annex this County Parcel before the Developer has purchased R/W for the ingress/egress roads for
the development.
Do not adopt Resolution No. 2020-87 a 26 acre area containing six parcels until a General Plan review
is completed for the North Verdemont Ward.
