Subject: SB Council meeting: Valdivia Legal Funding Request
To Whom It May Concern,
I have been a San Bernardino resident for over 10 years. In those 10 years I have seen this beautiful city
go through some extremely difficult times. This city's spirit has been demoralized with financial
struggles, high crime rates, abandoned shopping centers, and accusations of corruption to the highest
points of our city leadership. It would be a devastating blow to the morale of this city if our city council
approved the funding of legal representation for Mayor Valdivia's legal issues. Mayor Valdivia is a
representative of the people of San Bernardino. And as such, he should be doing his best to put his
constituents needs above his own. He should be held responsible and accountable for his own actions
and therefore pay for his own legal representation, instead of putting the financial burden and
responsibility on the citizens of San Bernardino. His request for financial assistance and the approval
of, by the city council, shows the integrity and moral fiber of those elected to represent this great city.
Please do NOT vote in favor of approving Mayor Valdivia's request for financial assistance to pay for
his legal representation.
