The City received a total of 42 applications. • Phase 2 — Completed the beginning of August 2018 and 29 applicants were notified of their advancement to Phase 3 Interviews. Of the 13 applicants that did not advance, 10 appealed their Phase 2 score. January 2019, appeals were granted and additional Phase 3 Interviews were conducted. ��R1ARDl`�'O SQ �qt Community & Economic Development Department oG'�bED lit l0 Current Review • Phase 3 — Occurred in two stages: • Stage 1 — 29 Applicants advanced to Phase 3 and interviews were conducted with the Selection Committee in October 2018. • Stage 2 — 10 Applicants were advanced to Phase 3 after the City's determination on appeal. These interviews were completed in January 2019. • Phase 4 — Public Meeting and City Council determination ARDl`�'O SQ �9 C Community & Economic Development Department oG'�bED lit l0 Discussion • 39 Applicants are moving forward to be considered for a CCB Permit. • 18 Retail • 17 Microbusiness • 4 Cultivation • 2 Manufacturing • 2 Distribution • City Council may approve a maximum of 17 permits, with no more that five permits per license type. NARDl`�'O SQ �qt Community & Economic Development Department oG'�bED lit l0 Conclusion • For Phase 4: • The applicants will present on their applications, • The public may comment, • The Mayor and City Council will review the Selection Committee's Phase 3 scoring of all 39 applicants, and; • Mayor and City Council may award up to 17 total permits, with no more that five per license type • City Council may also direct staff to prepare an ordinance to increase the total number of permits and/or to prepare a resolution to either adjust the distribution of permits by type or to eliminate the restriction altogether.
