What impact (if any) has your project had locally? We impacted the local low -socia economic neighborhood by providing a center that they can be proud of. In terms of the greater community, there has been excellent publicity about the Center, which has caused residents to be more aware of the renaissance of the arts and the importance of arts in San Bernardino 9. Please fill in the items paid for and the expenditure figure for your project Item (s) Amount Spent: Salary and Wages 2, 340 Supplies Stage lights, Royalties, Script Books 1,147 4,987 Use of facilities 10,300 Renovation Costs 7,475 TOTAL: 26,154 Note: The total should be the same as the amount granted. 10. Were the aims of your project achieved? What aspects went particularly well, or not so well? The restoration of power to our ceramics, printmaking and glass studios went very well as did the theater efforts in collaboration with the Homespun Players of Riverside and our own production of "Love Letters." Our art classes for adults went very well, but we failed to attract children in our efforts, except for the Kiwanis -sponsored Halloween party, Las Posadas and limited children's attendance at the printmaking studio. 11. Were there barriers to fulfilling your goals/aims? Our efforts in hosting the mariachi groups went awry when the teen-age group of musicians insisted on "hanging -out" in the street while the other groups were rehearsing. This attracted neighborhood teens to also "hang out," and create some vandalism. An adult member of the mariachi group invited a friend to attend during practice and sell tamales from her pick-up! After 3 months, we terminated our mariachi relationship. If possible, please send photographs, programs or copies of press articles relating to your project. If you submitted an interim report, it is not necessary to duplicate any of these materials.
