HomeMy WebLinkAbout10190 1 RESOLUTION NO. t 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DE- CLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF WASHINGTON STREET 3 AND AN UN-NAMED STREET SOUTH OF IRVINGTON AVENUE, EAST OF CHESTNUT AVENUE. 4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNAR- 5 DINO AS FOLLOWS: 6 SECTION 1 . That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernar- 7 dino hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of a portion of Washing- 8 ton Street and an un-named street South of Irvington Avenue, East of Chestnut 9 Avenue, in said City, which said portion more particularly is described as follows: 10 That portion of Washington Street and a portion of an un-named street lying within Block 65 of the Irvington Land and Water 11 Company as per plat thereof recorded in Book 1 , Page 32, Re- cords of Survey of San Bernardino County, described as follows: 12 Beginning at the intersection of the Northwesterly prolongation 13 of the Northeasterly line of Washington Street as said Street is delineated on said map of the Irvington Land and Water Sub- 14 division with the Southeasterly line of Chestnut Avenue 60.00 feet wide; thence Southeasterly along said prolongation and 15 Northeasterly line of said Washington Street, a distance of 410 feet more or less to the most Southerly corner of Lot 4 of said 16 Block 65; thence Northeasterly along the Southeasterly line of said Lot 4, the Northwesterly line of said un-named Street and 17 the Northeasterly prolongation thereof to the Southwesterly line of Irvington Avenue 60.00 feet wide; thence Southeasterly along 18 said Southwesterly line, a distance of 40.00 feet more or less I to the Northeasterly prolongation of the Northwesterly line of 19 Lot 3 of said Block 65; thence Southwesterly along said prolonga- tion and Northwesterly line and the Southeasterly line of said 20 un-named street and the Southwesterly prolongation thereof to the Southwesterly line of said Washington Street; thence Northwesterly 21 along said Southwesterly line of said Washington Street and the Northwesterly prolongation thereof to the Southeasterly line of 22 said Chestnut Avenue; thence Northeasterly along said South- easterly line of Chestnut Avenue, a distance of 40.00 feet more 23 or less to the point of beginning. 24 .i SECTION 2. That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernar- 2 5 , dino, in vacating the above described portion of said streets, elects to proceed 26l, under and in accordance with the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941 " , 1 27 ibeing Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of 2£3 California. 29 SECTION 3. That the hour of 9:30 A.M. , on the 27th day of April , 1970, 30 lin the Council Chamber, Garner Bldg. , 392 Court Street, San Bernardino, Calif- 311 ornia, be and the same hereby is fixed as the time and place when and where all li 32 ( persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before I 1 the said Mayor and Common Council and offer evidence in relation thereto. For 2 further particulars as to the proposed vacation of the hereinbefore described 3 portion of said Streets, reference is made to that certain map marked "Plan No. 4 4075" approved February 16, 1970, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said 5 City. 6 SECTION 4.
