HomeMy WebLinkAbout2017-0771 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 0*1 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO: 2017-77 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THE PROVISION OF COPIERS FROM KONICA MINOLTA IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $260,000.00. and, WHEREAS, City has need for Photocopier Equipment, Supplies, Maintenance and service, WHEREAS, the CITY's Purchasing Code allows purchases from a vendor or manufacturer which, through the City's bidding procedure, or other California government or governmental agency's bidding procedure has established a price at which such a vendor or manufacturer is willing to sell to the City. WHEREAS, the CITY has the responsibility to ensure the judicious use of funds, the City Manager and Finance Department may suggest making cash reserves for a purchase when determined to be in the City's best interest. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to direct the Finance Department to appropriate 1$260,000 from the General Fund balance to allow for the cash purchase of copiers; the appropriation will be made to a capital purchases account to be established by the Finance Director. Section 2. Konica -Minolta Business Solutions was found to be the preferential copier solution amongst the various responsive bidders for the copier replacement program bid and awarded by the County of San Bernardino (41356 — January 2015) on June 26, 2015. Copy of said County of San Bernardino Request for Proposals and award letter to Konica Minolta Business Solutions are attached as Exhibit "A". The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the purchase agreement for copier equipment from Konica Minolta Business Solutions in an amount not to exceed $260,000.00 and to direct the Finance Department to issue the appropriate Purchase Order. 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Section 3. This contract and any amendment or modification thereto shall not take effect or become operative until fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be obligated hereunder until the time of such execution. No oral agreements, amendments, modification or waivers are intended or authorized and shall not be implied from any other course of conduct of any party. Section 4.
