HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-3721 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 02--372 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DESIGNATING CERTAIN STREETS OR PORTIONS THEREOF WHICH MAY BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED BY THE (SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC SERVICES FOR THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY �AND WELFARE„ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino make the following findings of fact: a) Fifty -Sixth Street west of Jesse Court and Lincoln Court, north of Dover Drive, are cul-de-sac streets constructed in the expectation that residential buildings would be constructed adjacent thereto. To date, no such construction has occurred. b) These highways are not presently needed for vehicular traffic. c) California Vehicle Code Section 21101 (e) authorizes local authorities to adopt rules and regulations by ordinance or resolution to close a portion of any street when such street is no longer needed for vehicular traffic. SECTION 2. Pursuant to Section 21101 (e) of the California Vehicle Code, the Superintendent of Public Services is directed to close the following portions of the specified streets and to install appropriate barricades and to post signs giving notice of the closing of the streets to vehicular traffic to preclude entry by motor vehicles: a) Fifty -Sixth Street, west of Jesse Court b) Lincoln Court, north of Dover Drive. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 7th day of September x 1982, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members Reilly, Hernandez, Quiel, Hobbs, Strickler NAYS: None ABSENT: Council Member Castaneda City Clerk The foregoing resolution is hereby approved this day of September 1982.
