I RESOLUTION NO.
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE
(APPLICATION FOR LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUNDS FOR THE
3 DEVELOPMENT OF PERRIS HILL BALL PARK.
4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
5 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
6 SECTION 1. Recitals.
7 a. The Congress under Public Law 88-578 has authorized the
8 establishment of a Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant-
9 in-Aid Program, providing matching funds to the State of
10 California and its political subdivisions for acquiring lands and
11 developing facilities for public outdoor recreation purposes.

12 b. The State Department of Parks and Recreation administers

13 the program.

14 C. Regulations adopted by the State Department of Parks and
15 Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the
i
16 approval of applications and the availability of local matching
i
i
17 funds prior to submission of an application.
18 d. The proposed Perris Hill Ball Park Development project,
19 at an estimated cost of $160,000, is consistent with the
20 California Outdoor Recreation Resources Plan.

21 e. The project must be compatible with the land use plans of
l22 jurisdictions immediately surrounding the project.
23 SECTION 2. Approval of Application. The filing of an
24 application for Land and Water Conservation Fund assistance is
25 approved.
26 SECTION 3. Certifications. The City of San Bernardino
' 27 certifies:

j 28 a. it has matching funds from the State, Urban, and Coastal

I Park Bond Act of 1976 and the Roberti-Z 'Berg Urban Open-Space and
2 Recreation Program Act, and can finance the total cost of the
3 project, half of which will be reimbursed.
4 b. the project is compatible with the land use plans of
5 those jurisdictions immediately surrounding the project.
6 SECTION 4. Agent for Negotiations. The Mayor and Common
7 Council appoint the Director, Park and Recreation Department, as
8 agent of the City to conduct all negotiations, and execute and
9 submit all documents, including but not limited to applications,
10 agreements, amendments, billing statements, which may be necessary
11 for the completion of the project.
12 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
13 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
14 Bernardino at a.. t meeting thereof, held
