(#4671) Current Business Registration Certificate: Financial Impact: The adopted FY 2016/17 budget already reflects a 3.5% salary increase ($112,828.00), therefore the impact of the 2016 186 salary survey will be an additional amount of $5,386.00. Background: Section 186 of the City Charter establishes a formula for setting annual salaries for local safety members to be effective August 1st of each year. The City and the Police Management Association (PMA) have met and have reached an agreement for the 10 cities to be used for this year's calculations. The salaries of those 10 cities have been averaged to determine 2016 salaries for Police Safety Management classifications. The agreed to 10 cities included: Santa Rosa Fontana San Buena Ventura Downey Glendale Torrance Fairfield Burbank Salinas Vallejo 2016 MONTHLY SALARY RANGES Range # of Survey % New Monthly % Budgeted Results Change Salaries Change Positions Monthly (From Effective Updated: 11/2/2016 by Georgeann "Gigi" Hanna Packet Pg. 157 5.K 4671 Salaries 2015 8/1/16 Per 2016 Salary) MOU P-4/Lieutenant 9 $12,958.02 0.87% $13,296.51 3.5% P-5/Captain 3 $15,649.02 4.00% $15,649.02 4.00% P-6/Assistant Chief 1 $17,022.30 4.12% $17,022.30 4.12% P-7/Chief 1 $18,386.93 1.05% $18,831.95 3.5% The San Bernardino PMA Agreement Resolution No. 2015-255, provides that as of August 1St of each year the Agreement is in effect, salaries shall be increased by a minimum of 3.5%.
