Justification/Reason for Request n
Staff changes in the City Clerk's Office necessitates an experienced Chief Deputy Clerk familiar
with the agenda management system, Netfile software and state mandates for public records
and the Political Reform Act. After carrying out the recruitment and interview process in search
for a suitable fit, Mr. John Maier was the most qualified for the department's current needs. He
has experience with elections and citizen led initiatives. Mr. Maier is a Certified Municipal Clerk, R
working on his certification as Master Municipal Clerk and is qualified to answer highly technical
questions in the absence of the City Clerk.
