PROPOSITION 10. 3 WHEREAS, Proposition 10 , to be submitted to the voters of ; California on the June 3, 1980 ballot, will terminate all exist- 5 ing local rent control ordinances; and 6 i f WHEREAS, Proposition 10 will prevent local g '� �'; governing bodies w 8 from adopting any rent control measures; and 9 WHEREAS, Proposition 10 will dictate to local voters the 10 ( contents of any future rent control measures, even if local 11 i' voters would choose to adopt different measures; and 12 WHEREAS, Proposition 10 will be a substantial impairment I' 13 , of the principle of "home rule" of California local government; 14 and 3J WHEREAS, the passage of Proposition 10 is a threat to all i6 1renters and mobilehome owners in California, E7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO that the Mayor and Common l°? Council of the City of San Bernardino oppose Proposition 10 on the June 3 , 1980 , statewide ballot, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common Council 22 of the City of San Bernardino urge the electors of the City of 23 ; San Bernardino, and the State of California, after careful review 24 land consideration, to oppose Proposition 10 . i 25, I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly 25 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San t :.'
