" 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO SUBLEASE WITH CASA RAiMONA, INC. 3 PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASED MONTHLY RENTAL FOR USE OF TWO ROOMS IN ! j A CERTAIN BUILDING LOCATED AT 1524 WEST 7TH STREET; AND REPEALING 4 RESOLUTION NO. 80-52. i 5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS : j 6 SECTION 1 . The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is I'I 7 8 hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City a First Amendment to Sublease with Casa Ramona, Inc. providing forj 9 I 10 ii an increased monthly rental for use of two rooms in a certain j i 11 'Ibuilding located at 1524 West 7th Street, a copy of which is j � I 12 ( attached hereto, marked Exhibit "I" and incorporated herein 13 by reference as fully as though set forth at length. 14 S~JCTION 2 . Resolution No. 80-52 is hereby repealed. 15 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly 16 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San 17 Bernardino at a �,� ;• L '��:�1 meeting thereof, held i t8 on the day of ' �� , 1980 , by the following 19 vote, to wit: 20 AYES : Councilmen l r � 22 NAYS : , 23 ABSENT: 24 l' 25 City Clerk 26 The foregoing resolution is hereby app ved is day 27 of L— � , 19 8 0 . 28 r t e City San Bernardino Appr d as to f ity-c 4ctorney �I I I jl i i I FIRST AMENDMENT TO SUBLEASE 2 (La Casa Ramona) 3 THIS FIRST A14ENDMENT TO SUBLEASE is entered into between 4 CASA RAMONA, INC. , a non-profit California corporation, referred 5 to as "Sublessor", and the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal 6 corporation, referred to as "Sublessee" . 7 Sublessor and Sublessee agree as follows: 8 1 1. Recitals . n y (a) Sublessor and Sublessee entered into a sublease 10 on June 16 , 1972 , relating to the use of three rooms in a certain i1 ( building located at 1524 West 7th Street, San Bernardino, 12 California, to be used by Sublessee for purposes of a "Drop-In 13 Center" . 14 (b) The parties desire to amend the sublease to pro- 15 vide for an increased monthly rental payable at $505 .24 per month, 16 and to reduce the number of rooms to be used by Sublessee from I 17 three rooms to two rooms . 18 2. Amendments. 19 (a) Paragraph 2 of the Sublease is amended as follows : 20 "2 . Sublessor hereby leases to sublessee two rooms in 21 that certain building located at 1524 West 7th Street, San I 22 Bernardino, California. The rooms hereby leased are marked in 23 red on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein by 24 reference. " 25 (b) Paragraph 4 of the Sublease is amended as follows: 26 "4 . In consideration of the lease of the landscaped 27 areas and the two rooms , the sublessee shall pay rent and pro- 28 vide services as follows: I 1 (a) Sublessee shall pay to sublessor a monthly i i 2 ! rent of $505 .24 , payable on the first day of each month i 3 commencing January 1 , 1980 . r 4 (b) Sublessee shall provide labor to maintain such s shrubs, bushes , flowers and trees in the landscaped areas as 6 sublessee deems necessary, in the manner sublessee deems 7 ( necessary. " 8 (c) Paragraphs 5 and 6 of the Sublease are deleted. i 9 (d) The agreement is amended by substituting the ;0 Exhibit "B" attached to this First Amendment to Sublease for tt Exhibit "B" attached to the original Sublease. 12 3. Other Provisions . All other terms , conditions and 13 covenants of the Sublease shall remain the same and be in full 14 force and effect.
