RESOLUTION NO.
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
3 EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE REDEVELOP-
MENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO RELATING TO THE
4 ELIMINATION OF 85 PARKING SPACES AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE
FOURTH LEVEL OF THE FIVE LEVEL PARKING STRUCTURE LOCATED AT THE
5 NORTHEAST CORNER OF SECOND AND "E" STREETS.
6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS :
7 SECTION 1 . The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby
8 authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City an
9 Amendment to Lease Agreement with the Redevelopment Agency of
10 the City of San Bernardino relating to the elimination of 85
11 parking spaces at the southwest corner of the fourth level of the
12 five level parking structure located at the northeast corner of
13 Second and "E" Streets , a copy of which is attached hereto,
14 marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference as fully
15 as though set fourth at length.
16 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
17 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Ber-
18 nardino at a ;`;> . %�_ meeting thereof , held on the

AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREEMENT
(five level parking facility - building at s/w corner)
THIS AMENDMEN TO LEASE AGREEMENT is made and entered into this
P day of , 1980, by and between the CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO, a munici al corporation, hereafter "CITY", and the
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO,
CALIFORNIA, a public body, corporate and politic, hereafter "AGENCY".
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the Agency is the owner in fee of that property situated in the
City of San Bernardino, County of San Bernardino, State of California referred to
as the "Parking Structure" and described in the Lease above referred to; and
WHEREAS, the Agency and City desire to amend the Lease by eliminating
sufficient parking area from the Lease for the purpose of providing parking for the
use by the building tenants and their customers of the building at the corner of 2nd
and "E" Streets known as the "Thrifty Building", 237 North "E" Street, San
Bernardino, California; and
WHEREAS, in Paragraph 14 of the original Lease the Agency and the City
agreed that proposed lenders might require amendments to the Lease as a condition
to the making of loans; and
WHEREAS, the City and Agency have agreed that the providing of such
parking is for the purposes of redevelopment and the revitalization of "E" Street
and is in the best interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the aforesaid, the parties hereto
agree as follows:
Section 1 a. of the Lease Agreement for the five level parking structure is
hereby amended to read as follows:

I a. Agency hereby leases to City the real property described in Exhibit "C"
attached hereto, and the improvements to be constructed thereon by Agency,
(hereafter called "leased premises") on the terms and conditions hereafter set forth,
except for 85 parking spaces at the southwest corner of the 4th level of the parking
structure,
Except for the foregoing, the original above referred Lease shall remain in
full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Amendment
to Lease Agreement on the date first hereinabove written.
