STAFF REPORT
SUBJECT
Resolution authorizing an Annual Purchase Order to California Turf for maintenance, supplies and
services of "Toro" lawnmowers, utilized by the Fleet Division.
BACKGROUND
It is requested that the Mayor and Common Council approve an Annual Purchase Order in the
amount of $30,600 to California Turf for providing maintenance, materials, and services for
lawnmowers used by the City Parks and Recreation Department. California Turf is the exclusive
factory authorized wholesale distributor of Toro parts, and offers wholesale prices to the City.
These parts are necessary for maintenance and repair of the eleven commercial lawnmowers
maintained by the Fleet Division.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for these purchase orders are contained in the Public Services Department, Fleet Division
Fiscal Year `99/00 budget.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Mayor and Common Council authorize the Purchasing Manager to issue
an Annual Purchase Order to California Turf for a "not to exceed" limit of $30,600 for services and
parts for the repair of lawnmowers.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AN
ANNUAL PURCHASE ORDER TO CALIFORNIA TURF FOR MAINTENANCE,
SUPPLIES AND SERVICES OF `TORO' LAWNMOWERS, UTILIZED BY THE
FLEET DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That California Turf is the preferred provider of "Toro" lawnmower parts
for the Parks and Recreation Department commercial lawnmowers. Pursuant to this
determination, the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized and directed to issue an Annual
Purchase Order to California Turf for materials, supplies and services of Toro products in an
amount not to exceed $30,600.
SECTION 2. The authorization to execute the above referenced is rescinded if a
purchase order is not issued within sixty (60) days of the passage of this resolution.
