Police Department staffing has been established at 151 Police Officer (Pl) positions. Due to the a
vacancies that have occurred, hiring must occur in order to replenish staffing of sworn officers.
Mr. Campbell, who was formerly employed as a Sheriff Deputy with the Riverside Sheriff
Department,has successfully completed the background and testing process, and is qualified for
the position of Police Officer(Lateral),with our Department.

Justification for the Request
This position, in the Land Development section of the Community Development Department,
has been vacant since March 31, 2016. The primary function of this position is reviewing and
processing plans for public improvements and private development, calculating and collecting
development impact fees and updating and maintaining the City's permitting system. This
position is critical to the timely and effective review and approval of development projects.

Mr. Kroeu is currently employed as an Engineering Assistant I in the Public Works Department. O

Sychhay Kroeu is qualified for the Engineering Assistant III position in the Community 0 a.
Development Department through his education and prior work experience. We believe Mr.
