Four (4) vendors responded. There were two (2) no bids. Neither of the remaining two vendors responded to the bid bond requirement. To re- bid for lack of a bid bond serves no purpose. Therefore, the Purchasing Agent recommends wavier of the bid bond requirement in this particular case. Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Police Department who concurs that the bid of Hi Standard Automotive meets specifications and requirements. It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract. The equipment funding is in the FY 1993/94 budget.
