HomeMy WebLinkAboutS1- City issues and goal setting 4 Must Do's For Realistic, Results-Oriented Priorities and Goals • The vision for San Bernardino must start tomorrow and continue forward; there is no waiting until next year to ten years from now. • Priorities and goals must be able to generate tangible, specific actions to be accomplished through the implementation plan. • Actions specified in the implementation plan must be bench-marked for a meaningful evaluation of results. • Actions that do not hit the mark must be reviewed, changed or discontinued. • Priorities and goals must be linked to all aspects of the decision making process, including the budget. • Priorities and goals need to be reviewed, discussed and improved at least once a year by the mayor, council and staff with public input. • All aspects of this on-going program must be transparent to the citizens of the city. Community understanding, involvement, support and participation are critical. Solution Strategies, Inc.
