DAVE DeLILLE
• Hired as Marketing Director of Carousel Mall April 1, 1996. Responsible for the
preparation of the yearly marketing budget and implementation of all programs,
advertising, and events. Committed to building a positive image of the mall through
effective community relations,upgrading the general advertising, bringing in events
and promotions that appeal to a family atmosphere and that offers greater
educational value. Have implemented a Children's Theater Group, Teen Board
Advisory Group, summer concert series presented by the San Bernardino Symphony,
currently creating a Stride Inside Senior Advisory Board.
• Dave DeLille Public Relations, a private consulting firm, was established in January,
1985. DeLille Public Relations provided services to a variety of clients in California,
Washington, and New York. Specialized in the marketing of tourism, retail, the
building industry, and the resort/hotel trade. Local clients included Lake Arrowhead
Resort and Village, East Highlands Ranch, San Bernardino County Museum
Foundation, and T.S. Management. Major corporations included The Arrowhead
Joint Venture and Integreated Resources, Inc., a Fortune 500 company based in New
York. Expertise include photography, brochure development, copy writing, booking
and scheduling entertainment, special event planning and coordination.
• Prior to starting my own business, I was a Program Coordinator for the San
Bernardino County Regional Parks Department from 1977-1984. Responsible for
directing the marketing of the eight County Regional Parks. Major projects worked
on while at the parks department include the 1982 & 1983 Unison Concerts at Glen
Helen Regional Park and the 1984 Olympics were I served as park liaison for the
Shooting Event at Prado Regional Park. Appointed as County Staff Photographer
by the Board of Supervisors in 1982.

Summary of=Experience
MARKETING: DeLille Public Relations directed the overall marketing program for
Lake Arrowhead Resort and Village beginning in 1985. Responsibilities: Presentation of
Marketing Plan and yearly budget,comprehensive analysis of target markets,implementation
of Public Relations and advertising plans for reaching selected markets, development of
travel and trade programs that focus on attracting families, tour operators, major
conferences and business meetings to the area. Coordinate and implementation of special
events, on-going visitation research, regular meetings with Property Manager, Resort
General Manager, and Merchants Board of Directors to review success of Marketing Plan.
Developed marketing program to introduce the Lake Arrowhead/ Rim of the World
MARTA system under the supervision of Gary Griffenhagen, Transportation Officer for the
City of Barstow and Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce. Program

included design of logo, flyers, news releases, restaurant table tents, special ride offers, give-
aways (frisbees with logo, buttons), posters for businesses, and rack brochures.
San Bernardino County Museums Foundation Marketing Program for the Dinamation
Exhibit 1990-1991; the Los Angeles Airport Center Marketing and Leasing Campaign 1989-
1991. These programs included co-op advertising, ads for trade publications, advertising
on radio and television (cable contracts), and trade show booths at malls, travel &trade and
specialty shows, promotional giveaways, news releases, and informational flyers.
PUBLIC RELATIONS: Extensive experience in developing and preparing news releases
for the Southern California media for a variety of Clients concentrating on public
information, articles on tourism, business development, new products, and special events.
Development of community awareness programs (i.e. Health Focus Seminars, disaster
preparedness), former member of the San Bernardino County.Speakers Bureau, current
member of the Lake Arrowhead Chamber Speakers Bureau, Vice-President of the Lake
Arrowhead Tourism Council. Arrange FAM trips for tour operators, travel agents and
corporate meeting planners with attention to their special needs for bringing clients to the
Lake Arrowhead Area.
ADVERTISING: Design and placement of black and white and full color ads in national,
regional, and local publications including newspapers (major dailies and weeklies),
magazines (ie. L.A. Magazine, Orange Coast, 52 Weekends, Sterling Worldwide Resort
Publication), and specialized trade publications(ie.Meetings California, California Meeting
Planner, HTI, Western Association). Extensive experience in brochure development,
informational handouts, event flyers, newsletters, employee payroll stuffers, magazine
articles, feature articles in newspapers, speaking presentations, photography, trade show
booth designs, and training videos. Excellent photography skills.
SPECIAL EVENTS: . . Developed and implemented a yearly calendar of events for Lake
Arrowhead that generated Southern California wide publicity. Researched and presented
special retail programs for the businesses of Lake Arrowhead Village including seminars
on Public Relations,developing a marketing plan,marketing a small business,public contact,
product display, safety and creative advertising on a budget. Designed programs to attract
visitation from throughout the Inland Empire for Mobil Land Development, East
Highlands Ranch, Costain Homes and many more. Extensive experience in every phase of
event coordination including rentals, catering, entertainment, event flyers, VIP
transportation,staffing, decorations,promotional giveaways,set-up, clean up,marketing and
advertising. Specialize in theme events such as Dickens Christmas Presentations,
Oktoberfests, early California western themes, etc. Create special mascots and characters
for Clients to enhance event and attract publicity. Coordinated East Highlands Ranch
Grand Opening, a western theme event with stagecoach, gunfighters, bus tours, western

BBQ. Coordinated Costain Homes United States Grand Opening, a British theme event
with Queens Guard, beefeaters, string quartets, British fare for dinner, Rolls Royce pick up
of VIP's at LAX. Since 1985, I have coordinated over 500 special events.

Officer for the County of San Bernardino Public Works Department, 1975-1977. Public
