Description) Finance' G-- Council Notes: /Z�A7, 75-0262 Agenda Item No. 9 CITY OF SAN BERN* REQUEST FC COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT F-95-14 The proposed purchase is for Fire Station Alerting Amplification Systems Replacement to be utilized in daily operations by the Fire Department. At the request of the department, appropriate specifications were prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were .publicly opened and declared on December 8, 1994 . The following is a summary of bids received. COMPANY TOTAL BID (INCLUDING TAX) Officecom Inc. No Bid Premier Lighting No Bid Versatile Information Products No Bid Sound Pacific No Bid Audio Graphic Systems $99, 992. 00 *Digital Display & Sound $64, 458. 65 Thirty-three (33) vendors supplying this commodity were solicited. Six (6) vendors responded. There were four (4) no bid responses and two (2) valid bids received. Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Fire Chief who concurs that the bid of Digital Display & Sound meets specifications and requirements. It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract. The equipment funding is in the FY 1994/95 budget.
