Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
January 25, 2016- The Common Council adopted Resolution No. 2016-10 which
approved the Agreement with Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. to provide refuse and
recycling, street sweeping and right-of-way clean up services.
Background:
The attached Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute documents related to
the transfer of Integrated Waste Operators and equipment to Burrtec Waste Industries,
Inc. For instance, this authorization allows the City Manager to execute transfer of
equipment leases, vehicle ownership, accounting documents, etc. This Resolution
mirrors the one adopted by the Common Council recently relating to the Fire
Annexation.

BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY
3 ACTIONS TO EFFECTUATE THE AGREEMENT WITH BURRTEC WASTE
4 INDUSTRIES, INC. FOR REFUSE SERVICES.
5 WHEREAS, on January 25,2016 the Mayor and Common Council adopted Resolution No.
2016-10 which approved the Agreement with Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. to provide refuse and
6 recycling, street sweeping and right-of-way clean up services; and

WHEREAS,pursuant to the Agreement with Bun-tee Waste Industries, Inc. there are several
8 transactions that are required in order to successfully transfer all refuse services from the City; and c
9
WHEREAS, it is necessary to give the City Manager the authority to take all necessary steps -

10 in order successfully transfer all refuse services from the City; 0

11 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
12 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

13 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to take any all actions necessary to

14 effectuate the agreement with Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc.

SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to make any expenditure necessary 0

to comply with the conditions of the Agreement. c
