The following sidewalk projects are included on the lists of projects approved for funding of construction contract costs under this program. Since this project has just been competitvely bid, the unit prices are the lowest that we can reasonably expect to receive. Therefore, we recommend that the 6 sidewalk projects approved by SANBAG for Article 3 Funds be incorporated into this contract. A change order is needed since some sections include items of work for which there is no bid item in the contract for in-fill improvements. In addition, a change order will facili- tate billing SANBAG and auditing the expenditures. The Contractor has provided price quotes for installing sidewalk at these 6 locations. We have reviewed these price quotes, and found them to be in line, or lower than the unit prices in the contract awarded for in-fill street improvements.
