On March 14, 1995,the Housing Committee approved demolition of a dilapidated single-family detached residence
located at 669 North"G" Street and recommended forwarding to the Community Development Commission.

MOTION: That the Community Development Commission approve demolition of a dilapidated single-family
detached residence located at 669 North"G"Street,owned by the Economic Development Agency for
an amount not to exceed$4,900,and to increase the Agency's 1994-95 Budget accordingly.

DEMOLITION OF 669 NORTH "G" STREET
The property is located at 669 North "G" Street and is southeast of 7th and "G" Street. The house
is a two (2) bedroom and two (2)bathroom, 1,314 square foot residence built in 1925. It has been
in a state of grave disrepair for many years. The subject property was acquired by the
Redevelopment Agency during the Empire Bay scenario and the home on the property was initially
pursued for demolition to leave room for development of new high quality housing.
Within the last several years, the house has been boarded up several times and from time to time has
experienced problems of drugs, homeless, and other transients living at the property.
Total costs for demolition, permits, and removal of any and all debris and asbestos is $4,900.
Due to the age of the home being seventy years old (70) and the state of disrepair, Agency staff is
recommending the demolition of the residence for the elimination of blight and a hazard to the City
and the surrounding neighborhood.
Staff therefore recommends adoption of the form motion.

On Friday, February 17, 1995 Jack Poland from J.R. Poland Construction called in a phone bid for the
above referenced property and the related work for demolition. I have not received a written proposal
from hurl,however,his price was $9,400.00.
