Memo
Tom,
It was a pleasure speaking with you on the telephone earlier today.
Congratulations again for being named recipient of PRIMA's ARM award
given to the person from the public sector who achieves the highest score in
the ARM program. As we discussed, we will present the award on Tuesdav,
June 6, 1995, at our annual conference in Seattle.
I will fax a letter to Victor Lorch explaining that you have received this honor
and that >ve would like you to attend the conference to receive the award
personally.
Also as I mentioned, APEX is sponsoring a scholarship for risk managers
whose budgets or other constraints may not allow them to attend the
conference this year. This scholarship may help you get approval to attend
our conference. To apply, submit a brief letter explaining:
• why you would like to attend the conference and how you and your city
would benefit by your attendance
• why you would not be able to attend the conference if you did not receive
the scholarship
• previous PRIMA conferences, seminars or other meetings you have
attended
• PRIMA activities in which you have been involved, such as makin:;
presentations, articles, serving; on committees
