Justification/Reason for Request d
In July 2012, to reduce department expenditures as the City faced bankruptcy 0
position were eliminated. The duties of the eliminated positions were absorbed
by remaining staff in addition to their existing duties. This has caused a strain on
staff to prioritize certain pertinent functions over others. The need to become
fully functional again is needed to provide all services and functions regularly. a
a
Step 10 is being requested because this person will be responsible handling
department accounting functions and providing primary backup to the auditing E
functions of the department. The person will be the lead for all customer service
staff. In addition this person has performed the primary functions of this position a
for several years without the title or a merit increase.
