The City of San Bernardino recognizes its obligation to provide

prior to the meeting for any requests for reasonable

7. Request that the Board of Education designate their
representatives to the Joint Agreement Committee as provided in
the agreement between the City of San Bernardino and the San
Bernardino Unified School District relating to the use of
recreational facilities.
8. Adjournment.
MOTION: That said meeting be adjourned.
NOTE: The next regular meeting of the Mayor and Common
Council/Community Development Commission is scheduled for
8:00 a.m., Monday, October 5, 1998, in the Council Chambers of
City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California.

This is the time during the agenda when the Board of Education is prepared to receive the
comments of the public regarding any other items on this agenda or any school-related issues.
Each person is asked to state his or her name and address and to limit remarks to five minutes.
There are special procedures for presenting complaints against District employees, and persons
wishing to make such complaints must have filed the appropriate complaint form prior to this
meeting. The Board may not have complete information available to answer questions and may
refer specific concerns to the appropriate staff person for attention.
SESSION THREE -Workshop on Topics of Mutual Interest
3.0 Workshop on Topics of Mutual Interest 6:20 p.m.
The Board of Education and Staff have invited the Mayor and Council Members of the City of
San Bernardino to discuss topics of mutual interest. Topics that could be discussed include:
v• After-school programs • General Obligation Bond election
v• Parent outreach • Traffic control
Retention of minority students • City-sponsored and community wide
�• Quality child care for younger children events
• K-12 school meeting • Participation in City economic

• Joint Agreement Committee • Community wide marketing
