Recommended Motion:
That the plans for the installation of a storm drain in
Richardson Street, from Davidson Street to Mission Zanja Channel ,
per Plan No. 8854 , be approved and that the Director of Public
Works/City Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Authorization to Advertise for Bids
Richardson Street Storm Drain,
from Davidson Street to Mission Zanja Channel
Plans for the installation of a storm drain in Richardson Street,
between Davidson Street and the Mission Zanja Channel have been
completed for the Development Department and the project is ready
to be advertised for bids. The Economic Development Department
has requested that the Public Works Department prepare the speci-
fications, advertise for bids, and administer the project under
the Master Services Agreement that presently exists .
Listed below is the estimated project cost:
Construction Contract $ 215 , 000 . 00
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1415) 11 , 607 . 00
Sub-Total 226 , 607 . 00
Contingencies (8 . 50±) 18 , 393 . 00
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 245,000.00
Funds have been allocated by the Economic Development Department
from CDBG Funds in the 1992/93 Budget to fully fund the proposed
improvements .
We recommend that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be
authorized to advertise for bids for the proposed improvements .
